Students often want or need to achieve a certain grade in their SATS, GCSEs and/or A-level, but many find that classroom teaching alone isn't enough —
they get lost in the crowd, the explanations don't work for them, they get left behind, etc...
One-to-one tutoring gives you / your child the exact level and amount of explanation they need in a supportive, no-pressure environment.
Unlike the classroom which is aimed at an 'average' position of a student, one-to-one will be tailored exactly to your/their needs.
Many tutees say they get 3 – 4 times as much work done in an hour of tuition than they do in class. I use a variety of resources including my own carefully-curated ones that have helped my students to achieve high above their target grades.
We will take a structured approach to ensure we are covering the right topics in the right order, and linking them as much as possible to promote real mathematical confidence.
We will make use of high-quality software such as desmos to help model maths topics, along with numerous resouces I have made for both schools as well as online learning platforms.

Maths can be split into different areas, each of which is essentially a 'pillar of building blocks' which must be built from the ground up in order.
I have spent over 10 years thinking and refining my approach to this, and will ensure that your maths is learnt on solid foundations and built up carefully.
