SATS tuition (Year 5 - 6) 

Year 6 SATS are a massive milestone for children – they mark the end of primary school for many, and are often children's first 'big' exams.

Schools work hard to prepare children for these, but primary school teachers are generalists not specialists, and so a maths tutor can really help supplement what happens in schools by helping children to understand maths more deeply, and link topics together in ways they might not have seen.

This helps them not only to score well in their SATS but, more importantly, to be ready for secondary school.

We will spend SATS preparation sessions in a variety of ways:

• Working through the SATS exam questions so they become even more familiar

• Working on problem-solving to maximise the chance of reaching 'greater depth'

• Going back through topics to add context and deeper understanding, as regardless of their SATS outcome, this will help create a smooth transition to secondary school!

• It doesn't matter what your school curriculum is; we will work out a plan for SATS success!
